Für Lily
a poem by J. Flourish
Before we met,
my life was not
quite worth living,
it was just plain rot
Then there you were,
like sun through the cloud,
your red hair red,
your eyes — I was wowed
You've taken my heart;
I've been glad ever since,
I was a lonely old bloke,
now I feel like a prince.
Lily my sweet,
Lily my dear,
I think I love you,
it's really quite queer
So here I am
my heart on the table,
ready to love you
as much as I'm able.
